MY STORY

Born and raised in Bergamo, in the north of Italy, I grew up between cultures, where African roots met Italian taste on every single plate.At 18, I moved to the UK on my own, chasing a dream without knowing exactly where it would take me. My first job was washing dishes and just a month later, the Head Chef at The Ivy asked if I wanted to step into the kitchen. For a year, I prepped tirelessly. No service, just chopping, prepping and learning the foundations of the craft.
That was the beginning.
From there, I started climbing the ladder.
After 5 long years, i left and I kept climbing, moving through some of London’s most iconic kitchens, from Daphne’s to Daylesford; not just refining my craft, but learning what it meant to guide and inspire others. Teaching became as much a passion as cooking; passing on skills, sharing knowledge and watching others grow gave me the same satisfaction as creating a perfect dish.

When I moved to Manchester, I poured that same energy into helping open Peru Perdu, building and leading a team from the ground up. Later, at James Martin Manchester, I had the privilege of leading once again in one of the city’s busiest kitchens.For over 13 years, i’ve refined my craft, sharpened my skills and led teams through the fast-paced and high-pressure world of hospitality. But along the way I realised the moments I cherished most weren’t about perfect plating or flawless service.They were about connection, about how food makes people feel seen, cared for and truly at home.
That’s why I left behind the noise of the restaurant floor to create something more personal, where every dish carries not just flavour but a story.

Selflavours was born from the desire to bring the same dedication, skill, and passion I honed in professional kitchens into a space where every dish tells a story...your story.Here, cooking isn’t just about taste, it’s about intimacy. It’s about creating menus that reflect the people they’re for, using fresh, seasonal ingredients and infusing every plate with the love and attention that transforms a meal into a memory.

    SELFLAVOURS – TERMS & CONDITIONS

    1. BOOKING & CONFIRMATION

    All bookings with Selflavours are only confirmed once a deposit has been received and all booking details have been agreed in writing.Selflavours reserves the right to accept other enquiries or bookings for the same date until a deposit is paid. A date is not considered secured until payment is received.

    2. PAYMENT TERMS

    A deposit may be required to secure your booking.Final payment is due on the day of the event, either at the beginning of service or immediately upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of service and refusal of future bookings.

    3. CANCELLATIONS

    Cancellations must be made in writing.Deposits are non-refundable due to time spent on planning, communication, and menu development.Cancellations close to the event date may be subject to additional charges where costs have already been incurred.

    4. MENU DESIGN & BESPOKE SERVICE

    All menus are fully bespoke and designed specifically for each client.Menu ideas, concepts, and proposals will only be shared once a deposit has been received and the booking date has been confirmed.This is due to the time, creativity, and planning involved in creating personalised menus.

    5. EVENTS & GUEST NUMBERS

    Final guest numbers must be confirmed by the agreed deadline prior to the event.Any changes to guest numbers after confirmation must be requested in writing and are not guaranteed to be accommodated.If guest numbers decrease after final confirmation, pricing will not be reduced where ingredients have already been purchased or preparation has been completed.If guest numbers increase, additional charges will apply and are subject to availability.All food quantities are planned based on the final confirmed guest count.

    6. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS & ALLERGIES

    Clients must provide full and accurate information regarding allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements prior to confirmation.While every care is taken in food preparation, Selflavours cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

    7. PRIVATE CHEF RESPONSIBILITIES & EQUIPMENT

    Clients are responsible for ensuring access to a suitable kitchen, including working appliances, basic utilities, and a safe working environment.Selflavours will primarily use the client’s kitchen equipment during service.Where required and agreed in advance, Selflavours may bring additional equipment, cookware, or serving items (such as pans, plates, or presentation pieces), but this is not guaranteed and is subject to availability and the nature of the booking.Any specific equipment requirements must be discussed and confirmed prior to the event.Selflavours is not responsible for delays or issues caused by inadequate facilities or equipment.

    8. EVENTS & CHANGES

    Final event details, timings, and requirements must be confirmed by the agreed deadline.Any changes after confirmation may affect pricing and availability.

    9. TRAVEL & ADDITIONAL COSTS

    Travel fees, parking, accommodation, or additional charges may apply depending on location.All additional costs will be agreed before confirmation of booking.

    10. BEHAVIOUR & RESPECT POLICY

    Selflavours operates in a professional environment.Any rude, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour towards Selflavours or its representatives will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of service without refund.

    11. LIABILITY

    Selflavours is not responsible for:Allergic reactions not disclosed prior to booking
    Food once it has been served or delivered
    Issues arising from incorrect or incomplete client information

    12. FORCE MAJEURE

    Selflavours is not liable for delays or cancellations due to events outside of its control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, extreme weather, transport issues, or supplier failure.Where possible, alternative arrangements will be made.

    13. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

    Selflavours reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if conditions are unsafe, inappropriate, or not as agreed.

    14. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING

    Selflavours may request permission to photograph food or events for portfolio and marketing purposes.Client privacy will always be respected, and no personal information will be shared.

    15. AGREEMENT

    By confirming a booking with Selflavours, the client confirms they have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
